Alan Markle specializes in tax planning and preparation for individuals and businesses, estates and trusts. Mr. Markle is recognized for his excellent representation of clients on income and sales tax matters before the Internal Revenue Service and California tax authorities. He also provides litigation support and serves as an expert witness on tax matters.
A former lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business MBA program, he is known for providing trade and professional organizations with clear explanations of complex tax issues. He began his career as an auditor with Arthur Young & Company, an international CPA firm. He was Assistant Controller for Signetics, Inc., in Sunnyvale, California before creating his own CPA firm in 1975.
He received his BS in Metallurgical Engineering from Wayne State University, his MBA from the Wharton School of Business and did post-graduate work in accounting at Northwestern University and in taxation at Golden Gate University.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He served as president of the Wharton Alumni Association and currently serves as a member of its Board of Directors.
